Current Role
Jared Ross serves as a Senior Vice President at Arcanum Global and the President and CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary, Patriot Defense Group (PDG). He provides executive leadership across defense, intelligence, and national security missions, ensuring PDG delivers mission-focused capabilities to its government and private sector partners.
Military Service
Before beginning his commercial career, Jared served 24 years as a U.S. Army Green Beret in the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), including 17 years in a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Special Mission Unit. He retired as a Sergeant Major in 2014.
During his career, Jared operated across all environments in a variety of unique positions while working with the full spectrum of elite forces. Frequently in key leadership roles, he led and managed joint operations across multiple disciplines in a broad range of missions.
Executive & Commercial Career
After retiring from the Army, Jared transitioned into the private sector, bringing his leadership and operational expertise into national security-focused industries.
He served as President of a boutique technology company that provided bespoke, secure communications solutions to Fortune 500 companies, successfully growing the organization from startup to a profitable and sustainable enterprise. Academic & Research Contributions
In 2019, Jared left Calibre Systems to join the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) at the Uniformed Services University, focusing on human performance for the Special Operations, Intelligence, and First Responder communities. He served as Co-Investigator on a human research study evaluating training interventions to improve decision-making under high stress, and supported additional programs focused on resiliency, behavioral health, and performance measurement. He returned to the corporate sector in 2022.
Since retirement, Jared has also served as Adjunct Faculty at George Washington University’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences (Clinical Research and Leadership Department). There, he conceived and led the development of the Leadership in Emergency Action and Disaster Response (LEADR) program, an accredited Bachelor of Science degree for USSOCOM senior NCOs. The program was designed to align service members’ unique operational experience with academic credentialing, creating expanded post-career opportunities while repurposing their talents for continued service domestically.
